01 Eligibility Criteria for Hong Kong High Achievers
Recently, there are rumors circulating on the Internet that High Talent may be canceled or tightened. If you are eligible to apply for High Talent, it is recommended to submit your application as soon as possible to avoid missing the bonus period.
The Hong Kong High Talent Pass Scheme, known as the Hong Kong High Talent Pass Scheme, aims to attract top talents from all over the world to develop in Hong Kong. The main target groups of the program include high-income earners and undergraduates graduating from the world's top universities.
Persons who wish to apply for admission to the HKSAR under the Highly Talented Persons (HSP) Scheme may choose one of the following three categories of talents to apply for the HSP:
Category A applications: Individuals with an annual income (if applying from company profits, the income for the previous year of assessment should be taken into account) of HK$2.5 million or above (or its equivalent in foreign currency) in the year immediately preceding the date of application, with no quota restriction.
(b) Category B applicants: persons who have obtained a bachelor's degree from a recognized university and have accumulated at least three years of work experience in the five years immediately preceding the date of application, with no quota restriction.
Category C applicants: persons who have obtained a bachelor's degree from a recognized university within the five years immediately preceding the date of application, but have less than three years of work experience.
Remarks:
① Category C applications are subject to an annual quota (10,000) and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
(ii) Category C applications are not applicable to non-local students pursuing full-time locally-accredited programmes leading to a bachelor's degree in HKSAR.
According to the analysis of the application requirements of the Hong Kong High Achiever Scheme, three categories of suitable people are summarized:
Class A fits the population:
Generally, they are elites or corporate executives in high-tech industries (such as finance, technology, artificial intelligence, etc.) with relatively high incomes, or shareholders and bosses who hold stakes in enterprises, as well as self-employed businessmen with relatively high incomes. Top corporate executives, senior practitioners in the financial industry, and founders of well-known enterprises are among the popular candidates.
Class B fits the population:
Graduates of prestigious universities with rich work experience, the undergraduate school must be the world's top schools (usually top100), and the advantage will be even greater if they are in the industry of finance, science and technology, international trade, etc., and journalism majors of the world's top schools.
Category C fits the population:
The undergraduate institution is one of the top 100 universities in the world (or top 20 in the Mainland), and the undergraduate graduation time is not more than 5 years for young high achievers, and the working experience should be less than 3 years. 02 Remember to do these 7 things after getting approval for Hong Kong high achievers
After being approved for Hong Kong status through the Hong Kong High Achiever Program, you still need to do 7 more things to ensure that you can successfully get your Hong Kong Permanent Resident status after 7 years, and you also need to do these things well:
1)Pay the fee and download the e-visa
Nowadays, the Hong Kong Talent Policy not only requires the payment of $600 visa fee for submission, but also after approval. After the approval of the application for high caliber talents, the Immigration Department will issue a formal approval letter to the applicant, so remember to pay the fee (the fee is valid for 3 months) and collect the e-visa before the specified date.
Please be sure to activate the e-Visa within the validity period, or else it will be invalidated (equivalent to applying for nothing and losing the opportunity to apply for a high-caliber job forever).
2) Apply for a stay (D) endorsement for a Hong Kong and Macau Travel Permit
After downloading and collecting the e-visa of High Talent Pass from the official website of the Hong Kong Immigration Department, remember to bring along the official approval letter issued by the Immigration Department, the e-visa, the Hong Kong and Macao Exit-Entry Permit as well as other required documents to go to your local Public Security Bureau Exit-Entry Administration to apply for the D-visa for stay, which you must do, otherwise you cannot complete the visa activation procedure later on.
3) Visa activation for entry into Hong Kong
After applying for the stay D endorsement, the approved Gao only need to enter Hong Kong to activate the visa within the validity period of the visa activation (generally within 30 days), be sure to collect the small white slip given by the staff at the border crossing, and then apply for the ID card, visa renewal and transfer to permanent residence applications are to be used.
4) Coming to Hong Kong to apply for a Hong Kong Resident Identity Card
Register for the Hong Kong Identity Card according to the appointment time after entry or within 30 days after approval of stay.
As the Registration of Persons Offices in Hong Kong do not accept applications for ID card application without an appointment, you need to make a reservation for a Hong Kong Resident Identity Card quota online after you have confirmed the date of your visit to Hong Kong.(Hong Kong under11(no ID card is required for children under the age of one), andYou must be present in person to obtain an identification card (ID).
(5) Receive Hong Kong Resident Identity Card
Generally, it takes 7 working days for the ROP office to complete the ID card production, and ID card collection can be done in person or by authorizing others to collect the card. Enterprise Caiying Group has ID card collection service, if you want to save time, you can authorize us to collect the ID card on your behalf.
6) Keep in view the policy on renewal of high caliber visas
There are not many cases of renewal of Hong Kong's Highly Talented Persons (HSP) pass yet, and the Hong Kong Government has been optimizing and exploring the best renewal pathway and the pathway that is more conducive to the operation of the talents and the screening of the Hong Kong Government. Therefore, it will conduct live seminars or deliver speeches on its official website, media, and social media platforms from time to time, which cover a lot of the latest requirements and developments of the renewal of HSP passes, and applicants must pay attention to it, so that they do not fail to renew their passports due to lack of understanding of the policy.
7) Plan and prepare for renewal well in advance
Hong Kong High Talent Pass approved talent renewal is not simple, generally need to establish a strong working relationship with Hong Kong, either to work in Hong Kong to find an employer, or go to Hong Kong to start a business self-employment, either way you need to plan and land in advance, otherwise it will not only affect the late renewal of the length of the visa, but also affect the subsequent calculation of the time of permanent residence (according to the Director of Immigration: High Talent is approved before the first 2 years do not go to Hong Kong, and do not have contact with Hong Kong, these 2 years will likely not be given to count the time of permanent residence). It is very likely that these 2 years will not be counted for the purpose of permanent residence).
