01 Pre-Registration Self-Check: Do You Meet the Basic Requirements?

There are three mandatory requirements for opening a cross-border store on Meike Duo:

• A company registered in mainland China (with a valid business license)
• Proof of Legal Entity Status (ID card or passport, valid)
• Experience in cross-border e-commerce operations (not required, but candidates with experience have a higher success rate)

After the materials are submitted, the review process on the Meikeduo platform typically consists of two rounds:

Initial Review (3–7 business days): Check the completeness and basic compliance of the materials. The approval rate is high for complete sets of materials; incomplete sets are returned immediately.

Review (5–15 business days): Thoroughly review the company’s qualifications, the legal representative’s identity, and the alignment of business categories. The reasons for rejection in this round are more complex.

04 The 5 Most Common Reasons for Rejection

Reason 1: The business license information does not match the submitted information

Company name, registered address, business scope—if any of these fields submitted on the platform do not match those on the business license, the application will be rejected outright.

Reason 2: The legal entity’s documents are unclear or have expired

Scanned copies of documents must be high-resolution color images with all four corners intact and within their validity period. Black-and-white scans, glare, or incomplete cropping will result in the documents being rejected.

Reason 3: Mismatch in Business Categories

The scope of business listed on your business license does not cover the business category you are applying for. For example, if your scope of business is “general merchandise” but you are applying for “electronic products,” the review process will raise questions.

Reason 4: The receiving account was not activated in advance

When submitting your application to join the platform, your payment account must be active. The platform cannot verify accounts that are inactive or pending review.

Reason 5: Poor record of associated stores

If a legal entity or company already operates a Meike Duo store with a history of violations, the application for a new store will be subject to a joint review.
