01. Highly Talented Persons Scheme (HTPS)

Officially launched at the end of 2022, the Hong Kong government's "fast track", which is tailor-made for global talents with high academic qualifications and incomes, is currently a popular choice for mainlanders to get Hong Kong status.

⚪️ Category B (open-ended): Bachelor's Degree from a qualified university + 3 or more years of cumulative work experience in the past 5 years.

02. Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS)

Implemented in 2006 and newly revamped and upgraded scoring rules in November 2024, the Hong Kong Government's scheme to attract outstanding talents with high skills and high potentials, with no restriction on industries and quotas.

The pilot scheme to be launched in 2023 is designed for non-local students coming to Hong Kong to pursue full-time VTC-designated Higher Diploma courses, and is a "low-threshold pathway" for Hong Kong identity application, with senior secondary school leavers eligible for enrollment.
