Recently, many sellers expanding into the Mexican market have begun to focus on one issue:
The platform requires RFC tax ID verification. If the linked tax ID does not match the actual business entity, what are the consequences?
In particular, for sellers operating Mexican overseas warehouses and local sales models, many companies may encounter the following situations during the early stages of their business in an effort to get up and running quickly:
* The entity registered as the store owner is not the same as the entity listed on the RFC;
* Use an RFC from another entity to establish a binding;
* Company information, tax information, and platform data have not been synchronized for a long time;
* Multiple accounts are associated with the same tax entity.
When the business was smaller, these issues might not have become apparent right away.

Recently, the RFC entity consistency verification on Meiketuo’s Mexico site has continued to generate buzz in the cross-border e-commerce community. The platform has explicitly required that the verification be completed by July 20.
Many sellers only realize this after checking—while the store is registered under a Chinese company, the RFC tax ID linked in the backend belongs to a local Mexican entity, or is even a third-party tax ID provided by a service provider. If the RFC holder refuses to sign the authorization letter or is unable to provide the CSF document, the platform will immediately deem the tax information invalid.
There is only one result: the withholding tax rate is set at 36%.
This isn't an audit of your accounts; it's a direct deduction of more than 30 percent from your payments.
